Predictive Model for Evaluating Energy Performance of Building Envelope
The research is related to the buildings energy performance, investigating different construction typologies and carrying out instrumental measurements for analyzing the energy behavior of different building elements. This activity aims to characterize buildings elements by using appropriate tools, such as heat flow meter, surface temperature probes and thermal imaging camera. The main goal of this work is to evaluate the Standards effectiveness when they are applied to the existing buildings, in which the material thermal properties are in most cases unknown. Due to these considerations, the final scope is to define an analytical model able to schematize the wall stratigraphy as an unique heat transfer element characterized by equivalent properties.
